Sound Foundation Entertainment/Concept:Animus
1 min 34 sec - Oct 25, 2006
conceptanimus.blogspot.com
The video was shot with a Panasonic Still Camera.(in motion picture).
Shot in Widescreen mode 16:9
Then cropped down to 2.35:1 Panavision.

The "CG" UFO was created with Anim8or (a free little 3D modeling Program).
Composited with Ulead MediaStudio Pro's: Video Editor v6.
So It's pretty much done with freeware an such.
The system used is an HP Pavilion a1350n.
With an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 4200+,
1.0 GB of memory and with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 graphics.

All of the pieces of this thing were completely unrelated. No camera matching, no advanced rendering. It's all about the Materials here. I worked hard on the metal and glass(which has no refraction), but has an enviroment map
It also uses "Bump Maps" instead of "Normal Maps".

3d Animation

3d Animation

So I guess this now my animation blog.
Right now I am working on the visual effects of a new music video of "Away"
by Skate the Razor.

It will use Global Illumination, Ambient Occlusion and enviroment mapping. I will most likley use Blender, the free 3d creation suite.

I will go into more detail when I get the chance,

So I do have my work cut out for me (not to mention all the web authoring I need to do)

So, Until Next Time...
